The time for change has come. We are aware that our system does not work, our kids are being murdered, and also in our current deadlock where lobbyist money owns our politicians, we see only misdirection and deflection. It has gotten so bad, that we've got high school children being forced to stand and take on Washington. The time is now require change, and require action. I'm releasing this remix in support of Everytown.org and their attempts to spread the message for the requirement for commonsense gun reform and to end gun violence.
We're all better than that, is a path there is common ground, and our future depends on it. We will need to be coming together so we can try to find an answer or strategy before another life is taken, to place these issues on the table in a way. Our kids are being killed in our schools. Just how many lives will be lost before we take action? The timing for common sense reform and change has become.
I have always been a powerful advocate for civil rights and equality, it's something very near my heart. This song is aimed at the population, those suffering discrimination or persecution, those who have been bullied, not to mention the rampant racism that's still alive and well .
We are the New Kids, we're the vessel for change. There is a huge disconnect between this generation . This polarization stems from a disagreement. There are those who genuinely believe in equality for everybody, and those who don't. The stuff in that vein tune proved to be a literal and figurative megaphone of,"Hey, we're not going anywhere, we are here to stay, we have the numbers, and we will fight."
That is a rally call, this can be a call to action, this is our time to come.
